Work-from-home Table
The Work-from-home Table was designed to help with the sudden change in home use due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We re-evaluated the humble kitchen table and considered how it could perform better as the facilitator of work, schooling, hobbies and dining activities.
The design was developed to leverage the benefits of both digital and manual fabrication techniques – CNC methods were used for their accuracy in cutting non-linear shapes and creating a fixing free assembly, whilst the process of hand finishing ensures the highest level of refinement and quality-control.
The table top assembly is made from a top-grade birch plywood that is faced with a durable high pressure laminate. The legs are made from robust and hard-wearing solid oak.
Exposed wooden surfaces are treated with a hard-wax oil to provide additional durability and protection to discolouration.
The table was in production from 2019 to 2022 and was sold across Europe, mainly within the Netherlands. Special requests for post-production tables are considered on an individual basis. Please contact us for requests or further information.
